Kirk Ziemke is a teacher educator who supports wellness, social-emotional learning, and culture development in schools. He works with instructional leaders, teachers, and counselors to develop curricula that is personalized to students and responsive. He believes the connections we build with students are the foundation for positive mental health.
Kirk Ziemke (MAT/ MAP) received his master's degree in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a master's degree in Teaching from Concordia University, and an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. He currently works for the Big Shoulders Fund in Chicago as the Director of Student Wellness. There, he works with The Cigna Foundation, The Northwestern Medicine Foundation, and The Conrad N Hilton Foundation to implement instruction, track growth, and gather longitudinal data on social-emotional development in students. He works with university partners across the US and was part of the inaugural SEL convening by North Carolina State University in 2019.
